Ms. Jenny's approach to counseling is holistic, relational, eclectic and focuses on your strengths and goals. Depending on your needs and other factors, this approach may include cognitive-behavioral therapy/CBT (working on thoughts that create behavior), psychodynamic therapy (exploring issues or trauma from your past and considering their impact upon your present life, behavior, thought patterns and self-esteem), art therapy (to encourage self-expression & insight through the use of art materials), guided imagery, eft-tapping, spiritual & intuitive practices, breath-work, progressive relaxation and other modalities. And always, when appropriate, humor & laughter.

In addition to traditional "talk therapy",
Ms. Jenny also provides the option of art therapy; to deepen your reflection, emotional expression and release of negative emotions. In your virtual therapy sessions art therapy is an option provided through creative homework exercises.
Art therapy is a type of psychotherapy in which you, the client, are encouraged to create artwork such as a drawing, painting, collage, sculpture or other tangible creations. Art therapy is emotionally expressive and exploratory. It requires no artistic ability or beautiful final product. Structure, assistance and instruction, will be provided to support your creative self-expression and exploration of issues that are of concern.
Sometimes it feels safer to express emotions symbolically and playfully through art. The art-making experience, reflections afterwards and processing in your session will bring deeper insight and understanding into your emotions and behavior. Art therapy may also be used to explore, process and heal that which is emotionally painful within one's family and relationships. After completing your artwork, the process and completed product will be discussed in detail and explored for meaningful content. Oftentimes one may feel a sense of relief or relaxation following completion of the artwork. With this newly acquired insight and understanding you will then be better able to achieve positive changes in your life and that of your family.
